Running to Stand Still

Me and two of my best friends...about to see U2 in Chicago
As usual, I'm a day late...okay, several days late. But don't hold it against me! I've been super-busy. Can you believe I've written 3 books and 1 novella this year? I can't. The past few months have flown past in a blur of deadlines.

I've managed to squeeze in a little fun. I went with some of my best friends to see U2 in Chicago over the 4th of July. What. A. Night. Our seats were amazing. My friend, Kelly, and I went to see them in Germany when we were 21. Although a few (ha!) years have passed since then, I think we felt 21 again.

Bono...
But after the quick trip to Chicago, it was back to Memphis and back to work and writing and a seemingly endless heatwave. (remind me of that in January when I'm complaining about the cold...)

I'm thrilled to announce that Love Finds You in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has officially released! In honor of the new release, I'd like to give away a copy!

Tell me what's been your favorite thing about Summer 2011 so far--and leave your name and email address. I'll choose a winner on Monday, August 8.

Oh...and I'm making a little announcement today over at Southern Belle View. It means a fun new feature will be coming to my blog. My newest adventure is sure to be entertaining for you and life-changing for me! I'll be talking more about it next week!

Happy Weekend!

Hi Annalisa and thanks so much for the chance to win your book. It sounds as if you've had a very busy and fun year! My favorite part of this summer is having my oldest daughter home from college for the summer. She is my shopping buddy, workout buddy and all around buddy. We've had a lot of fun together!
Thanks so much! Cheryl

Hi Annalisa - I haven't had the chance to read any of your books yet, but you know I love your family. (In case you don't remember, I went to school in the class with your aunt Christine and your aunt Lynda was our English teacher in high school). I'd love to have a copy of your book to read as well. My favorite thing about this summer is the trip I made back to AR in July and getting to see friends and family then. Ginger Rush - outlawtaxi@earthlink.net

Hey!
Glad you are having a fun and productive summer! The best thing about this summer for me was a family beach trip...all our kids and grands...to Myrtle Beach, SC. We gathered to celebrate our daughter and son-in-law's 25th anniversary! Memories made!

To start I want to say how much my girls and I have enjoyed your books. Keep up the good work you are an amazing writer. This summer has been great. I started out with being a counselor at the christian youth camp that our youth group attends. After that I went on a mission trip with our youth to Purcellville, Virginia to do a youth camp there. While we were there we had the chance to go to D.C. and my girls and I looked for the places that were in "Love Is Monumental". Thanks again.

Thank you for the chance to win your book Annalisa! I read Love is Monumental last year through a First Reads giveaway from Goodreads and that motivated me to pick up Love is a Battlefield. I've been a fan ever since. My favorite part of this summer is visiting the south Texas beaches where I grew up. Since I'm only about 350 miles away from home I try to visit at least once or twice a year. Thank you again!

Hi Annalisa, thank you so much for this giveaway. We haven't went on any vacations or gone any special places this summer because of caring for my Mom. She has dementia and the time I'm spending with her now is priceless. I know there will be a time in the near future that she will not even recognize me. So I've really had the best summer so far!

Looks like you had a lot of fun! Whew, that is a lot of writing too.

This summer has been very hot and humid and unfortunately I've been cooped up in the house too often since I have an infant. The highlight of my summer though has been going on a mom and son "date" to see Harry Potter & Deathly Hallows pt. 2. It felt good to spend some time with him and leave the baby with my hubby.

Hope you have a great week!

I am so glad that u keep writing. I love it and how God uses it in my life. My favorite part of the the summer has been spending the day on the lake in Hot Springs ar. The lake was so beautiful and you could feel Gods presence in his beautiful handiwork. I can'y wait to do it again this weekend. It is time to visit God again. Robyn crippen rmcrippen@hotmail.com
